Open-Pit Crushing Circuit

For open-pit mines on hard rock ROM: one line from the receiving hopper to the stockpile belt, sized for 400 t/h and for rock up to 280 MPa UCS.

Applicable products & materials

Materials

Hard rock ROM: granite, basalt, ore

Design limit 280 MPa UCS; capacity is set by the abrasion index and a 200 kg PSD

Process steps

01

Feed and scalp

ROM is tipped into the hopper. The grizzly takes fines out ahead of the jaw at 100 mm bar spacing, deck 1 100 mm wide.

02

Primary crushing

Jaw at a 1 200 × 900 mm feed opening, CSS 125–200 mm. Granite runs 380–520 t/h through this stage.

03

Secondary crushing

Cone on a 900 mm head, closed with the screen: oversize goes back to the cone, not to the stockpile.

04

Screening

Triple-deck 2.4 × 6.0 m screen splits the product. Its top-deck return is the circulating load.

05

Conveying

Modular 1 200 mm belt from the screen to the stockpile.

Send the rock type. Get a first view on t/h.

Tell the applications desk the rock, the target product, and whether it's a pit, a decline, or a quarry. An engineer replies within three working days with a first view on tonnage and a first-steel date.
